When looking up the definition of “brass balls/ovaries”, you will surely find a picture of Charlo Greene, formerly of Alaska’s KTVA-TV.
On Sunday night’s 10 PM broadcast, Greene ran a segment about the Alaska Cannabis Club. The segment was, naturally, a pro-legalization piece and at the end, Greene announced that she was not only reporting on the club but was also the owner and, by the way, she was done being a reporter:
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska,” she said. “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.”
The only thing funnier than how Greene quit is the stunned deer-in-headlight look of her (former) colleague after the cameras cut away.
In November, Alaskans will head to the ballot box to vote on Prop 2, the statewide legalization of marijuana and, according to Greene, her on-air “retirement” was her way of calling attention to the issue. Just in case you’re wondering: Vote “Yes” if you support legalization.
Here’s the video of Greene’s career as a reporter…cough…going up in smoke
Just as an aside: If Charlo Greene is a screen name, it’s possibly the best stoner screen name of all time.
