Before running for a state assembly seat it’s always a good idea to scrub social media of your racist and bigoted comments. Jacob Dorsey, a 19-year-old totally not racist Republican, didn’t get the memo before he ran in Wisconsin. Now, after his comments have come to light Dorsey has dropped out of the race for the 44th Assembly District.
Last December, Dorsey tweeted “fags need 2 leave my favorite state alone” after a judge decided not to stay the ruling that struck down Utah’s gay marriage ban. On Sept. 11 he apologized for the remark and said it wasn’t very Christian-like.
I regret using unacceptable and hurtful language on social media last year and sincerely apologize for doing so,” Dorsey said in a statement to The Gazette. “I recognized the inappropriateness of the tweet shortly after sending it and promptly deleted it. I am a staunch supporter of traditional marriage, but the language I used is not in keeping with my character, family values and Christian upbringing, and I fully acknowledge that.”
Apparently Dorsey forgot he was supposed to be a Christian A LOT because more comments posted to YouTube surfaced. Check out these gems:
Nothing like saying “nigger” and “fag” repeatedly to show how much you love Republican Jesus™.
The Republican party of Wisconsin backed away quickly from their candidate. Dorsey broke the number one rule of the party by being overtly racist and bigoted.
You see, he didn’t know that he couldn’t say those words. Nobody has taught him the synonyms yet; you don’t say “nigger” you say “thug”. Instead of saying “fag” you say “abomination”. He just didn’t know. Tsk. Tsk.
Give this kid about 5 years though and the Tea Party will have him running for Congress.
