Awarded for this spectacular bit of disrespect:

It’s one thing if he was near an open mike. People are people and they say stuff when they’re angry. Whatever. It’s quite another thing when you go on a radio show and talk about punching the President of the United States because he hurt your daddy’s wittle feelings. Tagg is the 42 year old son of a career politician. Let’s not pretend that he hasn’t been taught to keep his mouth shut and that his father hasn’t been humiliated on a public stage before.

No, this is about how little respect the Romneys, and the right in general, have for Obama. They’ve spent four years trying to delegitimize his presidency with lies, rumors, and insane fantasies. Meanwhile, they pull the mantle of the office tight around themselves when even legitimate criticism is leveled at a Republican president. It’s treason, you see, to question a “wartime president” even about things that are not related to the war he illegally started. If Romney were to take office, no doubt, it would once more be blasphemy to say anything bad about him.

Tagg has just shown his true colors as just another right winger who sees the presidency as a means to power, not an office to be treated with respect regardless of who holds it. He and those like him have eroded the idea of public service from a higher calling and a privilege to a gaudy bauble to be bartered and used for personal gain.

Congratulations, Tagg! You’re a douchebag! And your grandfather would spit on your family for its greed and pettiness.
