Is there something in the water in DC? Are Republicans THAT isolated from the real world that they don’t understand how they sound to the average human being? Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD) just doesn’t like the idea of allowing women to have an abortion for any reason much less rape or incest or the life of the mother!

Yeah, I’ve always — that’s a mantra, you know, I’ve said it so often it just spills out,” he said. “If you really – there are very few pregnancies as a result of rape, fortunately, and incest — compared to the usual abortion, what is the percentage of abortions for rape? It is tiny. It is a tiny, tiny percentage.” …. [I]n terms of the percentage of pregnancies, percentage of abortions for rape as compared to overall abortions, it’s a tiny, tiny percentage,” Bartlett said. [...]
“Most abortions, most abortions are for what purpose? The just don’t want to have a baby! The second reason for abortion is you’d like a boy and it’s a girl, or vice versa. And I know a lot of people are opposed to abortion who are pro-choice,” Bartlett said.
The “gendercide” argument is a somewhat recent addition to the pro-birth movement. It’s just another way to paint the left as murderers and, shockingly, is devoid of facts. If you’re a woman or have a young daughter and still vote Republican, there’s something seriously wrong with you.
Who better to decide the reproductive rights of women than an old guy?
While I am not one of those who think that if you don’t have a uterus you should not have an opinion on this, I am becoming heartily sick of these jerkwipes spouting off so callously about something that they will never have to themselves face.

Who better to decide the reproducttive right’s of women than our Lord and Savior. If Republican’s did not speak out against abortion you people would wipe out the human race.
