Why The Right HATES Boycotts In Picture Form
on August 17, 2012 at 2:43 pmPosted In: Blog Posts, News
I had said one of the main reasons the right despises boycotts is that they only seem to work for the left. Here’s how one went for the National Organization for Marriage who called for a boycott on Starbucks for supporting marriage equality:
A sharp rise followed by a leveling off at a higher plateau. Yay boycott! That drop at the end of July is from a disappointing Q3 showing (“only” a 19% increase) and certainly not from a boycott that has long been forgotten.
I wonder if right wing boycotts can be considered a form of economic stimulus?

Yeah.. that boycott of Chik-Fil-A darn near bankrupted them! I think you should probably get past the image you have conjured up for “da republicans” as waking up and hating everything, as that would essentially make them look like you. What we truly hate are whiners who use the government to mandate opinion. Want equality among the gays, act equally! You’ll get my vote!
How do gays “act” that makes them unequal? If you were really interested in the government not mandating opinion you would be against laws that define marriage as “one man, one woman.” That is, after all, mandating the opinion of a religious minority. NO opinion would be marriage defined as “between consenting adults.” See? No specifics beyond the bare minimum.
“Act Equally”? So I should get an education, good paying employment, be active in my community and search for love and meaning in this life? Wait…there already. Tell me what ELSE to do to “earn” my “equality”.
Assuming Liberals want government to legislate “opinion” is about the most ridiculous thing a “Republican” can say. I would suggest a) Look into the history of your own party and b) look at it today and then consider my burning question: “When WILL Republicans re-take their own party?”
Had I known, I would have stopped by more frequently. But it doesn’t look like Starbucks needed my help!
