I’m guessing Frank Luntz is still earning his blood money as master of propaganda for the right. Pay attention how the right has started to talk about Romneycare (when they actually talk about it at all). A normal person would say, “Obamacare is similar to Romneycare” because Obamacare is based on Romneycare. The new phrasing, however, is very deliberate, “Romneycare is too much like Obamacare.” The implication being that Romney somehow followed in Obama’s footsteps.
You would think it would be impossible for someone to be stupid enough to fall for this but the people this is intended to confuse are the same people that will testify in court on a stack of Bibles that Obama was responsible for the recession and the bank bailouts. George Orwell would be so proud.
The problem is, there are people that stupid.
