Drama Queen Of The Day: Rep. Mike ‘The Vaginas Are Coming!’ Kelly
on August 2, 2012 at 2:42 pmA tragic assault of the freedom of religious institutes to force their morals on slutty women!
Awarded to Mike Kelly (R-Screaming Mimi) for the following:
“I know in your mind you can think of the times when America was attacked. One is December 7th, that’s Pearl Harbor day. The other is September 11th, and that’s the day of the terrorists attacked. I want you to remember August the 1st, 2012, the attack on our religious freedom. That is a date that will live in infamy, along with those other dates.”
What terrible deed occurred that would stand with the murder of almost 3000 Americans and the attack that led the US into WWII?
Free contraceptives for women.
Yes, women with insurance will now be able to get their contraceptives without a co-pay thanks to Obamacare. This is important because birth control can run anywhere from a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand dollars a year. This causes many poor and lower income women to not use it and that results in unwanted pregnancies. That, in turn, leads to abortions. You’d think that the GOP would be in favor of this, but NO! That might make women think they can have sex without consequence and that is just wrong! It’s so wrong that it’s just as bad as 9/11 to have religious institutions pay for it! Even if their employees do not share their views! Calamity! Horror! Disaster!
For taking a minor issue (women having sex regardless of what their employer wants) and turning it into an tragedy of epic proportions, Congratulations, Mike Kelly! You’re a Drama Queen!!

Worse than a DQ! His comments are downright disrespectful!
The Japanese are attacking!
The terrorists are attacking!
The vaginas are attacking!
Every time I hear a screaming Mimi talk about attacks on their religious freedom, I simply want to ask, “What about MY right to NOT have YOUR religion shoved up my vagina?”
Um, you forgot a word: schoolyard drama queen. I think that fits the intelligence level.
Hey Mike Kelly! Bet you wouldn’t make that stupid comment if you had a vagina. Oh, and Mike, FACT is there is no attack on your religious freedom whatsoever! How did you become a Representitive with that mind anyway?
I didn’t know that keeping women from moving up in the world was as big of a problem as something as Pearl Harbor or 911. I find that utterly ridiculous and Mike Kelly needs to learn to actually figure out what birth control can do for women before comparing it to something that doesn’t even compare. It is downright disrespectful to those who died and their families. Also, if you don’t believe in contraception, all you have to say is no. No one is forcing you to take it. So please for the sake of human kind, get out of the dark ages and let us women move up in the world. Believe it or not, we would like equality, too. This is why I will support Missa Eaton. She stands up for our rights. She is everything I want in a congress woman.

Hi – been reading you for a while.
I’m from the UK where, as you know, healthcare is publicly funded and managed.
Part of this is free family planning/contraception. Note: NOT called “birth control”.
I always wonder if calling it something to do with births rather than conceptions allows it to be such an emotive issue. Any thoughts?
It probably would but the right won that messaging war before I was even born!
When I first hear this I was gobsmacked. I thought to myself, clearly when he was shoved out of his first vagina he screamed bloody murder and he hasn’t had a good one since. This is the only reason he is such a Azzhat.
