Douchebag Of The Day: Pastor Rick Warren And The Evils Of Evolution
on July 21, 2012 at 10:37 amBut, somehow, only liberals will be blamed for politicizing the tragedy.
I find it hilarious that right wing religious fanatics are so quick to blame not believing in God as the root cause of all bad things. Here’s Rick Warren’s tweet on the Colorado massacre:
When students are taught they are no different from animals, they act like it.
Ah, so teaching that man evolved from apes is why people kill and murder. So when a Christian terrorist practices corrective rape and genocide in Africa in the name of Jesus, what lesson should we take from that? When a Christian Scientist allows their child to die from an easily cured ailment in the name of God, what lesson should we take from that? How about the atrocities carried out across history in the name of the Cross? The Crusades, the Salem Witch Trials, pogroms against Jews and all manners of unspeakable horror have all been done according to the law of the Bible. What lesson should we take from that?
When students are taught they follow the word of God, no act of cruelty cannot be justified.
How’s that? Is that better, Pastor?
Don’t worry, keep blaming evolution and don’t mention guns because you’re a right wing weasel that can somehow square the possession of weapons of mass murder with your message of “peace and understanding.” I’m sure Republican Jesus approves. Real Jesus, on the other hand, looks on you with disgust.
Congratulations, Rick! You’re a douchebag!

remember gods do not kill people, only people who believe in gods kill people.
