What a classy guy! Rapper and terrible actor, Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, aka a$$hole, thought it would be funny to tell a Twitter heckler that he looked “autistic” and that he “dont want no special ed kids on my time line follow some body else.” Hahahah! He looks “autistic!” That’s a good one! Get it? That must mean he looks stupid or something! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a comedian! I know a bunch of people got all bent out of shape and he quietly deleted those two posts so it’s all good, right?
Here’s the thing, though:
The internet never forgets, you piece of shit.
But hey, it was just a joke, right? He didn’t mean anything by it! Just havin’ some fun!
The language of hate is always just as amusing. I’m sure when the rednecks call 50 Cent “boy” and “nigger” they’re just joshin’ around, too. When people call me a “dirty Jew,” that’s just a little bit of teasing. Gook. Wop. Guinea. Monkey. Fag. Just jokes, people! Don’t be so serious! Just a joke!

At least the above groups can defend themselves. Many of those with autism or “special ed kids” can’t. ”You look autistic?” What does that even mean? Did he watch Rainman once? Maybe he heard the word by accident and thought it would make a good insult? Anyone who has spent more than ten seconds with an autistic child (or has one, like me) knows that autistic kids can look just like everyone else. Using their condition as an epitaph is the lowest of the low. I expect that kind of crap from a child who doesn’t know any better. I do not expect that from a public figure with millions of fans. Then again, Mr. Fiddy specializes in “gangsta rap” in which he idolizes violence, misogyny and general stupidity. I don’t care what rationale people use, celebrating the worst aspects of the black community and holding it up as a model is a self defeating prophecy and has done more to reinforce negative black stereotypes than Fox News could ever dream of doing.
I guess Fiddy is nothing more than the trash he sings about. And his idea of an apology?

Wow. So sincere. I guess he’s the victim here. For a person that constantly sings about how manly he is, Fiddy doesn’t know the meaning of the word. A real man would realize just how hurtful his words are and apologize. Real men can do that if they’re not too busy pretending that being a mindless thug is a lifestyle. I don’t expect to hear anything useful out of Fiddy anytime soon.

As somebody with aspergers syndrome (ie on the autism spectrum) I didn’t find 50 cents comments in the slightest bit offensive. I think his music and lyrics suck for their own reasons, but nothing he, or anyone else, says will bother me.
I do think that sometimes people get too offended on other peoples behalf.

When my sister was born with Downs in 1944 the medical community told my mom to put her in a ‘hospital’ because she had nothing to look forward to, no quality of life. My 18 year old mother told them very nicely to ‘go to hell’. My sister, is still alive though ill now, she was the first of many children and she had a great quality of life.
I have no tolerance for ignorance, these days though our society seems to celebrate it more often than not.

Mother of two autistic sons who is so not surprised that bully 50Cent is bullying special needs kids now. He rants about gays all the time. His demeaning others who are different does nothing to diminish his victims, but it does reveal much about his own ignorance and ruthlessness. Also, he is a Republican, ironic, since I imagine most in his own party abhor everything he stands for save his views on gays and special kids. 50Cent, like any other cheap dime-store bully, is a big nothing, and frankly, I’m glad when they’re honest about their hate and depravities, so we know who to boycott. He’s perfect for the GOP, overpaid, talentless, souless, vicious asshole who thinks his shit doesn’t stink. Well it does and he doesn’t get a pass for being a bigot because he is famous, rich, a person of color or anything else. He does the same to gays and women constantly.
